• For an hour-long trek, park at Minnetrista and take White River Greewnay upstream past the Appeal to the Great Spirit statue, through McCulloch Park, under the MLK Jr. Boulevard Bridge, past a scenic overlook, and past Riverview Park all the way to the John Craddock Wetland Nature Preserve. From there, you can either retrace your steps or access the East Jackson Street Bridge over White River and return to Minnetrista via the Cardinal Greenway, crossing back over the river on a pedestrian bridge past the Wysor Street Depot.
At the Craddock wetland, the gates are locked to motor vehicles, but pedestrians can enter through a chute. There is a boardwalk that has several places to sit and bird watch.
