This was the first European outpost in the California interior. The restored 1839 adobe fort has
relics of pioneer and gold rush days. Open daily, 10-5. Closed Jan 1, Thanksgiving, and
Christmas. Admission mid-May to mid-Sept and during events $5; ages 6-12, $2. Admission
rest of year $3; 16 and under, free. Self-guided tour last 45 min-1 hour.
