Our Lovely Libraries

Most librarians, especially in rural Iowa, are happy to let you do a program or a class using the library facilities - for free! Need a place to do a craft or activity with your homeschool group? Check with the library, they are a great resource.
Don't buy all the books you need on your reading lists - check them out at your local library. Some libraries will even loan them from other libraries at no cost. We only have so much room on our bookshelves at home!

Have plenty of weeds in your garden? Well, before they take over, tear down your cardboard boxes and use them to cover any unused ground between your fruits and veggies. Not only does the cardboard suppress the weeds, it also keeps your garden moist during those dry months.
