Baking & cooking You Are What You Eat!!
I am on the warpath. I am so disgusted with the food industry in this country. I don't trust them. I don't trust that their looking out for me and my family. I'm including the ''Organic'' industries as well. Processed organic food is still processed!! So, we are cleaning out the pantry and kitchen. I've begun to make as much of our food from scratch as I can. And I'm having a blast!! It only takes a little more time, but it takes planning.
I make a menu for each week (always have). Then, usually on Saturday, I make all or most of the breads, milk products, etc. I might need for the week. For example this weekend I made whole wheat tortillas, whole wheat vanilla wafers, yogurt, bread and cottage cheese. I know this sounds like alot of work, but it's really not.
I have a blog where I'm sharing my methods and ideas for
cleaner living. wncfrugalhomes.blogspot.com. Come take a
look at what I'm doing. | | chrisinnc |
Bible & Spiritual growth Does it really matter?
What do we want to have accomplished when it comes our time to leave this earth? And will what we leave behind be of any lasting value?
As I look back at my life thus far, some of the lofty goals I worked so hard to achieve pale in significance to the ways God has used me in other people's lives. It's hard to describe, but suffice it to say that memories of my triumphs seem old and dusty, but memories of those moments when God has used me seem full of color and life. What about your memories?
When we build our lives on the foundation of Jesus Christ and make Him our first priority instead of ourselves, we will make a difference.....a lasting difference. | | virtual_twins |
