Katy Family YMCA Homeschool Theater Arts
Ages 5-11 (Elementary) Wed. 1-2 pm in the Cummins Room
Ages 12-18 (Jr/Sr High School) Wed. 2-3 pm in the Cummins Room
Bring out your child’s creativity by learning the fundamentals of theatre as students act, sing & dance. Learn the ''behind the scenes'' processes of backstage including prop and costume design, skit writing and application of stage make-up. Each class will consist of warm-ups, theatre games, skills review, rehearsal & teamwork time. Lessons are taught in the form of 7 themed units. Units are generally 4-6 weeks in length depending on difficulty of the skill and time needed to prepare for each performance.
