Civil Air Patrol, the USAF Auxiliary, may be just the ticket for your 12-18 year old’s future.
CAP's missions are Emergency Services, Aerospace Education, and Cadet Programs. Cadet Programs stresses discipline, encourages academic excellence, and promotes leadership while emphasizing physical fitness and moral leadership. It also provides cadets with opportunities to attend aerospace education classes, encampments, and orientation flights.
Of particular interest to homeschoolers is the emphasis on academic excellence. The aerospace program is an outstanding supplement to math and science curricula, allowing students to practically apply what they have learned. Cadets are taught by qualified CAP members and are given the opportunity to meet and learn from many sources. CAP stresses high moral standards, safety, and integrity among members.
