A one-day competition in the Dramatic Arts for Jr. High and Sr. High School students (ages 12-18) in North Central Indiana. The purpose of this competitive opportunity is for students to grow in the performing arts as they broaden their base knowledge of published dramatic works, perform before a panel of judges, and gain valuable feedback from seasoned thespians. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each category: Dramatic Monologue, Comedic Monologue, and Partner Scene (duet acting). Using a play, selections are to be 5 minutes in length. Top scoring students will present a showcase of their presentations that evening at The Commons Theatre.
