Two theme gardens, the ''Rhapsody in Bloom Music Garden'' and ''All the World's a Garden,'' flank the entrance to Emens Auditorium, and there is an Orbital Garden in front of the Charles W. Brown Planetarium.

There are other gardens, such as the ''Class of 1933 Garden'' on the northeast corner of the administration building, and a garden in front of the student center with a weeping Norway spruce tree that students call ''the Charlie Brown tree.''

Color from tulips, daffodils and flowering shrubs, trees and perennials is supplemented by an estimated 50,000 annuals planted per year in spring, summer and fall.

Parking: Free, two-hour on-street parking along College Avenue and Washington Street south of the student center. Yellow parking lots are free after 5 p.m. weekdays and on weekends. (Obey all parking signs or risk being towed). Metered parking (45 minutes) is available on the Quad and at other locations.
